each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. and what do we teach our children? we teach them that two and two make four, and that paris is the capital of france. when will we also teach them what they are? we should say to each of them: do you know what you are? you are a marvel. you are unique. in all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. you may become a shakespeare, a michelangelo, a beethoven. you have the capacity for anything. yes, you are a marvel. and when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? you must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children.

But really, all we want, and I speak for the entire human race here, is contact. Someone to let us know that we aren’t alone. That the world isn’t a dream and you and I really are happening at the same time, even if it’s not in the same place. That this is real. You’re really there. I’m really here. We’re real. This is real.

The Hi-hello-how-are-you?’s. The I’m-fine-and-you?’s. The slight nod of the head. The threads that bind you to everyone else. It’s coded language for a constant reassurance:

“I’m alive. You’re alive too.”

things have changed for me…….and that’s okay :)

there are some things i’ll never understand. i” never understand the dreams with strangers in them..that i’ve never met or seen. i’ll never understand why some people keep going back to what hurt them. what i do understand, however, is once we understand everything, the world loses its shine. curiosity killed the cat but the cat had nine lives ;)

to those hearts that are truly worn out…stay strong!

Everybody can use more love. Do not take offense if people are rude or unkind or seem like they are trying to hurt your feelings. You cannot know what is happening with them. Send them love no matter how they act. It will come back to you many times over as increased love in your life.
